Understanding Emergency Facility Information
When viewing an emergency facility in Emergency Mode, pay attention to these important pieces of information:
- Distance - How far the facility is from your current location
- Estimated Wait Time - The approximate time you might wait to be seen (if available)
- Open Status - Whether the emergency department is currently open (most are 24/7)
- Contact Information - Phone numbers to call ahead if needed
- Directions - Quick access to navigation directions to the facility
Getting Directions to Emergency Facilities
Once you've identified an appropriate emergency facility, you can quickly get directions:
- Select the facility from either the map or list view
- In the facility details, click the "Get Directions" button at the bottom of the screen
- Your default maps application will open with directions to the facility already set up
- Follow the turn-by-turn directions to reach the emergency facility
Calling Emergency Facilities
In some situations, you may want to call the emergency facility before arriving:
- Select the facility from either the map or list view
- In the facility details, click the "Call" button at the bottom of the screen
- Your phone will initiate a call to the facility's main phone number
Note: Calling ahead may be helpful in non-life-threatening situations, but should not delay seeking immediate care for serious emergencies.

- The app will return to normal search mode, showing all healthcare facilities
