Understanding the Map View
The Map View in FindHosi provides a visual representation of healthcare facilities in your area. This guide explains how to use and navigate the Map View effectively.

- Blue dot - Your current location

- Larger blue marker - Currently selected facility
Navigating the Map
You can interact with the map in several ways:
- Pan - Click and drag to move the map in any direction
- Zoom in/out - Use the + and - buttons in the top-left corner, or use your mouse wheel/pinch gestures on touchscreens

Interacting with Facility Markers
The markers on the map represent healthcare facilities. Here's how to interact with them:
- Click on a marker to see a popup with basic information about the facility
- The popup shows the facility name, address, type (public/private), and emergency status
- Click the "View Details" button in the popup to open the full facility details
- Alternatively, click directly on the facility name to open the details
Understanding the Search Radius
The blue circle on the map represents your search radius:
- The circle shows the geographic area within which FindHosi is searching for healthcare facilities
- You can adjust the radius using the distance slider in the filters section
- The circle will update automatically when you change the radius
- Only facilities within this circle will be displayed in your results

- In the facility details, click the "Get Directions" button at the bottom

Map View vs. List View
FindHosi offers both Map View and List View. Here are some considerations for when to use each:
When to Use Map View
- When you want to visualize the geographic distribution of healthcare facilities
- When location and distance are your primary concerns
- When you want to see which facilities are closest to you visually
- When you're unfamiliar with an area and want to understand the layout
When to Use List View
- When you want to browse through all facilities quickly
- When you need to see more details at a glance for each facility
- When you want to sort facilities by different criteria
- When you're on a device with a smaller screen where the map might be harder to interact with
Troubleshooting Map Issues
If you encounter issues with the Map View, try these solutions:
- Map not loading - Check your internet connection and refresh the page
- Location not accurate - Ensure location services are enabled and accurate on your device
- No facilities showing - Try increasing the search radius or check if filters are too restrictive
- Map performance issues - Close other browser tabs or apps that might be using system resources
- Map stuck or frozen - Refresh the page to reset the map
